Water, Water Everywhere
Online Exhibition | July 1 - December 31, 2025
Spotted Horse Studios is calling on artists to explore the complex relationships between the environment and industry in the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada. Accepted works will be displayed in the online exhibition, Water, Water Everywhere. Artwork does not need to be for sale.

​Any person,18 years of age, or older, residing within the states, or territories surrounding the Great Lakes of the United States and Canada is eligible to enter. These lakes include Lake Superior (Gichigami), Lake Michigan (Michigami), Lake Huron (Karegnondi), Lake Erie (Erielhonan), and Lake Ontario (Kanadario). There is no fee to enter. Each artist may submit up to three (3) works of art. All mediums and formats are accepted (images of 2D ,or 3D work, audio work, videos).
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES **
TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in this opportunity presented by Spotted Horse Studios LLC ("Publisher" or "us"). By submitting your artwork(s), you ("Artist" or "you") accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations governing it.

Artists agree to thoroughly read and adhere to all details of the application including important dates and requirements.
Your submissions must be original works created by you without any supervision. You declare that your submitted artwork(s) are not copies, derivatives, or based on the work of others, or in any way an infringement of copyright.

The Artist hereby certifies that they hold the copyright for the submitted material and the copyright remains with said Artist. Spotted Horse Studios will not be held responsible if artwork is copied.

By submitting an entry, the Artist grants permission for Spotted Horse Studios to use the accepted image on its website at, https://www.spottedhorsestudios.com/exhibitions, and for brochures, promotional materials, and publicity about the exhibition, both physical and virtual. Artists will be given attribution for their work and will retain the copyright.

The theme of the work is open to your imagination. Works will be judged on visual impact, creativity, quality and originality of presentation.

The exhibition will be juried by Shana McKay Burns, owner, Spotted Horse Studios, LLC.
​
DEADLINE
Entries will be juried on a rolling basis through June 30, 2025. Accepted works will be posted starting July 1, 2025, Artists may request that their work be removed from the exhibition at any time after posting.

SUBMITTING ART
Submissions will only be accepted through the online submission form at, https://www.spottedhorsestudios.com/exhibitions.

If you're submitting an audio, or video work of an extended length, please submit a 3-minute sample for consideration. Images should be high resolution at least 1200 pixels wide.
​
ACCEPTANCE
This is a juried show. Not all entries will be accepted.
​
NOTIFICATION
Artists will be notified of the results of the jurying via e-mail.
​
SALES
All sales inquiries will be forwarded directly to individual artists. Spotted Horse Studios will not participate in any sales transactions and will not request any commission.
