Play

Here is where we'll share our artistic play--you know, doodling. It's a little like visual journaling. Humphrey Horse and his farm friends are featured here. Shana has been doodling them for more than a decade.

Art + Information

The project goal is to find ways to convey factual information through art, mixed-media sources, and interactivity.

The Resource Curse | The Great Lakes

This project began in the Great Lakes region of North America, where copper, iron ore and nickel have been mined for decades. We look at water and indigenous treaty rights in the region.

The Resource Curse | Africa

Africa is rich in natural resources. Resource extraction began in the 19th century and continues today. In addition to environmental degradation and deforestation the people of Africa face human rights abuses, and extreme poverty that results in high rates of child labor.

Rare Wonders | For the Birds

Rare Wonders explores rare species and ecosystems. The topic gallery currently features rare and endangered bird species from around the world.

Explore

Learning more about our world is important to us. The Resource Curse, is our on-going documentary work that explores the impact of resource extraction on people and the planet.
